Make To Do Lists

Life is busy. We often have a lot on our plate and a lot of things we need to get done each day. Free up your brain so that you are not constantly trying to remember everything you have to do and you can focus your concentration on actually getting stuff done. At the start of each day or before any project take a few minutes and write a to do list. Make a list of everything you have to do. Don’t worry too much if the list gets long or if it appears impossible to complete them all. There are no rules that say you can’t move items to tomorrow’s list.

Once you’ve completed writing your list, review it. If something is most important to accomplish make sure it’s on top. Look for tasks you can combine or eliminate. Break up large tasks into smaller, more manageable tasks.

Psychologically, it helps you to maintain your motivation when you are able to check off tasks that you have completed. When you see items checked off, you’ll feel more productive and less likely to procrastinate. Here’s a tip, always put “Make a to do list” at the top of your to do lists. That way, you can check it off right away.
